Branding: Strategy, Design and Implementation

This can involve identifying your core purpose (your ‘why’), developing your products and services, and prioritising your most relevant content. We help to reposition your organisation, clearly communicate your unique offer, and rationalise your brand and portfolio architecture to ensure the customer journey is seamless and engaging.

We bring your strategy to life by developing a powerful brand experience through a new visual and verbal identity. As well as creating a new visual language (logo, colour palette, typographic and image style) we will also a develop a distinctive tone of voice and messaging that fully expresses your offer, values, and vision that enables you to stand out in a crowded market.

During the implementation phase of your new brand, we will help you translate your offer and identity across your core customer touchpoints and through different channels (such as an intuitive interface that enables you to have a more powerful digital presence). We will develop launch plans and events when the brand is ready for public launch as well as communication strategies to engage internal teams, stakeholders, and partners. We will produce the toolkits and guidelines that will enable you to maintain a coherence and consistency across your communications as well as providing direction on how to expand and develop your brand over time.


With their extensive experience in branding, Alenths two partners, Elspeth McLachlan and Alan Ramsey have both been managing directors of UK and global agencies. They have worked across diverse sectors and cultures and have enabled organisations to significantly increase their impact and commercial performance.

Originally a designer, qualified in graphic design, then interior architecture, Elspeth worked with global brand leaders Wolff Olins where she project-managed DBA Effectiveness and D&AD gold and silver award-winning design projects with international blue-chip brands in London, Brazil, Russia, and Spain. She has specialised in directing brand strategies from design concept through to brand experiences for national organisations, within the financial, retail, commercial, cultural, tourism and public sector.

Alan was the Managing Director of Eight Inc London, the global design and innovation agency that created the Apple Store. Prior to that, he worked for many years at Wolff Olins where he directed major branding and reinvention projects for UK and international clients including PwC, AOL, Telenor, Tokyo Metro, Allianz, and the South Bank Centre. Alan is a graduate of the Royal College of Art and has degrees in visual communication and graphic design, creative writing, and interior architecture.
